Congrats to Heather Beck

As you may know, many of Heather Beck Designs pieces are in homage to the honey bee. She just had two pieces accepted into the juried HONEY show at the Greenville Art Museum in North Carolina. I have been a beekeeper for six years and it is extremely important for them to survive. The pesticides that are responsible for Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD) are rapidly decreasing the number of bees not only in our own country, but around the world. Please help me fight this conglomerate by signing the petition. For more information about this in a visual format, you can watch "Vanishing of the Bees." It's an Ellen Page film which is available at Whole Foods Market. Thank you all very much!

Pesticides are killing bees and threatening our food supply. In 24 hours, shareholders at the biggest chemical producer, Bayer, could vote to stop their toxic production. Massive public pressure has forced this debate, now let’s make sure they vote to save the bees! I just signed an emergency petition, you can join me here:

"My recent work is propelled by a series of subversive intrusions into the
natural landscape.  And even while they may seem to disregard nature
these insistent peculiarities relate to its very mechanics.  Indeed a
certain authenticity is preserved and my paintings are persuaded to
become quite nature-like; not again but for the first time."
 -Morgan Russell
