News from the sunny south!
The Southwest Florida Pastel Society is sponsoringa "SMALL WORKS" exhibition in The Norris Center,Downtown Naples, Fl. The exhibit consists of a varietyof subject matter executed in the soft Pastel Medium.Ruthe Sholler was awarded FIRST PRIZE for her painting titled "World'sEnd"! This show is on for the month of November. It's in agallery on the same level with The Norris Center Theater,so it gets a lot of traffic!

News from Lucretia Chase
Lucretia is attending the New England Weavers Conference at Smith College in Northampton, MA where she will be in a fashion show with her new wool vest. One of her tapestrys is in the art exhibit and also on display in the new book "Interlaced". Her "Tea Towel Exhibit" is also part of the Cranberry Weavers display.

Call for art
“On the Road”
Summer Show, all artists and all media welcome

Opening reception: July 13, 7 – 9 pm
Eligibility: Open to all artists
Specifications: 2 dimensional work must be framed
with wire on the back ready for hanging. No sawtooth clips. 3D work should
include its own pedestal. A case is available for small items.
Fees: $10 per entry, $25 for 3 entries. Non refundable fee payable to:
Gallery 4
Sales: For non-members Gallery 4 receives
30% of the purchase price. For members Gallery 4 retains 20% of the purchase
price. No entry may be withdrawn prior to the close of the show. No pricing
changes will be allowed after entry.
Liability: All possible care will be taken,
however, Gallery 4 or the 4th Floor Artists will not be held
responsible for loss or damage to any work.
Drop off and pick up:
Work may be
dropped off at the gallery on Fri. June 21, 11 am – 4 pm and Sat. June 22, 10 -
4 pm.
Work may be
picked up Fri. Aug. 23, 10 am – 3 pm or Sat. Aug. 24, noon – 3pm.
A prize and a party...
Kathleen Mullins Mogayzel received second prize for her mixed media piece "Sunrise" in the Plymouth Guild's Spring Show.....Congratulations!
Also the 4th floor artists hosted a surprise 80th birthday party for Pat Isaac.....A wonderful event which left Pat totally overwhelmed. Here are some pics of the event, especially me holding the beautiful collage gift from the members, designed and made by Kathleen Mullins Mogazel. A gift to be treasured.
