Renee Caouette Atelier

Renee will be having an exhibit at the Clemsen Gallery in the Higham Library from March 29 - April 29. Reception Monday April 4, 6 - 8 pm. The gallery will also be open during regular library hours. Music and light refreshments will be served.
Her latest body of work depicts narrative interior scenes. Each piece has a specific story that is conveyed through symbolism, and thoughtfully placed objects and compositional elements. Relatable themes such as addiction, divorce, loss, relationships, and spirituality are shown through my perspective as a millennial.

The challenge for this month long show at the James Library is to use another's well-known art as inspiration to create one's own image. This exhibition will show a variety or printmaking techniques by creating original prints and will include etchings, solar plates, and monoprints.

COASTAL PRINTMAKERS, founded in 2007 is a community of artists who exhibit annually on the South Shore. Those exhibiting sre or have been students of Esther Maschio, a master printmaker who has taught continually at the South Shore Art Center for over 20 years.
Deanne Noiseux is exhibitng as part of this group.

Hingham resident and South Shore Art Center gallery artist Susan Ahearn is showing recent oil paintings throughout January and February, at Cohasset’s Paul Pratt Memorial Library. An opening reception will be held January 8, from 6 to 8 p.m., and the public is invited to attend. The show features everyday objects set in still life arrangements, along with a few landscapes. According to Ahearn, “My hope is for someone to look at my paintings and also discover the beauty in simple things, and for a brief moment, enjoy a little peace.”
The show is presented by the South Shore Art Center, and will be on view at the Pratt Memorial Library through February 28, during library hours, Monday through Thursday, from 10 - 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 - 5 p.m., and Sundays from 2 - 5 p.m. Artist reception set for Friday, January 8, 6 - 8 p.m. The public is welcome to attend.
